Direct Investment in Energy, Infrastructure, and Critical Minerals.

McIntyre Commodity Investments, LLC invests in development-stage and operating assets across emerging markets. We focus on opportunities where established industry relationships, operating experience, and transaction structure can help bring proven resources or capacity into production, improve performance, or expand access to markets.

Our Investment Focus

We invest across three connected sectors: energy, energy infrastructure, and critical minerals. Our focus is on individual assets where the resource or commercial demand is established and a clear development or operating plan supports the investment.

Energy

Producing fields and development opportunities with defined resources, practical operating plans, and access to market. We also pursue refined product trading and distribution opportunities supported by established supply and customer relationships.

  • Producing fields with development potential
  • Development and workover programs
  • Refined product trading and distribution
  • Export access and offtake arrangements

Energy Infrastructure

Assets that store, process, and move energy products. We assess location, utilization, counterparties, and contract terms, with a preference for revenues supported by contracted throughput.

  • Tank complexes and storage
  • Ports and terminals
  • Gathering systems, pipelines, and treatment facilities
  • Logistics and transshipment facilities

Critical Minerals

Resources and processing assets that can diversify supply for Western industry. Our assessment starts with the processing requirements, product specifications, development costs, and prospective buyers.

  • Battery and electrification minerals
  • Industrial minerals with established demand
  • Processing and beneficiation
  • Offtake into Western supply chains

Commercial Investments with Strategic Relevance

Energy security and access to critical minerals are creating a greater role for private investment alongside development finance, export credit, and other institutional capital.

We focus on individual transactions that may need equity, operating progress, or a clearer ownership structure before larger financing becomes practical. Where appropriate, we structure investments to accommodate institutional debt or additional equity as the asset develops.

Strategic relevance supports the investment case, but each transaction must stand on its commercial merits.

Where We Invest

We focus on development-stage and operating assets.

  • Exploration

    License acquisition, seismic, greenfield siting.

  • Appraisal

    Delineation, feasibility and consents.

  • Development

Assets with a proven resource or established demand that require capital to bring production or capacity online.

    We invest here

  • Operating

Assets already in service, with opportunities to improve performance, expand capacity, or strengthen commercial arrangements.

    We invest here

  • Late Life

    Optimization, decommissioning and abandonment.

We do not take exploration or greenfield risk. We look for a defined program to fund, an operating improvement to execute, an offtake arrangement to secure, or a partner structure to resolve.

Relationships Support Every Investment

Opportunities come through the trading, operating, and transaction relationships our principals have developed over their careers. These connections provide access to assets, local knowledge, and the people needed to evaluate and execute a transaction.

We pursue opportunities where we have trusted industry relationships to support both the investment decision and the work after closing.

Physical Commodity Markets

Trading houses and intermediaries provide insight into product flows, available assets, pricing, and counterparties.

Asset Operators

Direct relationships with operators help us understand an asset’s condition, capital requirements, and practical operating challenges.

Transaction Referrals

Our network introduces individual assets that may fall below the investment thresholds of larger firms or require more direct involvement than a conventional financing process provides.

Experience Behind the Investment

McIntyre Commodity Investments, LLC was formed to invest in assets where its principals’ operating experience and industry relationships can make a difference. Their backgrounds in physical commodities, asset operations, and cross-border transactions guide how we evaluate opportunities, choose partners, and structure investments.

Technical Assessment

We examine reserves and well economics in energy, capacity and contract quality in infrastructure, and processing requirements and product specifications in minerals. Technical findings inform the financial assumptions and investment terms.

Ownership and Governance

We evaluate title, licenses, required consents, partner rights, and local ownership requirements. For minority investments, governance and decision rights are central to the structure.

Markets and Offtake

We assess how the product will be priced, sold, transported, and delivered. An asset’s economics must reflect the market it can actually serve.

A Separate Vehicle for Each Investment

Each transaction is held through a dedicated investment vehicle, with its own ownership, financing, governance, and operating plan. Capital is committed to a specific opportunity, with a holding period suited to that asset.

We seek board representation and remain involved after funding, working with operators and partners on the agreed plan. Technical diligence, ownership verification, and commercial assessment determine whether we proceed.
