Our Team
Nick Beech is a Managing Partner of McIntyre Commodity Investments, LLC, focused on energy, energy infrastructure, and critical minerals. He brings more than twenty years in global emerging markets and relationships developed over that time with commodity operators, trading firms, and financing partners.
Before joining McIntyre, Nick was a principal at Sebia Group, a private client advisory firm in London and New York, where he worked in commodity trading and commodity finance with an emerging markets focus. Previously, he led equities trading and sales teams at UBS, Salomon Brothers, and Deutsche Bank, with exposure to commodity-related risks.
He holds a BA with Honours in Geography from the University of Birmingham.
David McPhedran founded the firm in 2008 and has led it since its inception. The firm has operated as The McIntyre Companies, LLC since 2018. He serves as Managing Partner and Chief Compliance Officer of McIntyre Capital Partners, LLC, the group’s broker-dealer and a member of FINRA and SIPC. His work focuses on corporate finance and deal structuring, including capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, and private placements.
Since 2008, he has structured and executed transactions across entertainment, sports, hospitality, transportation, real estate, healthcare technology, and natural resources. Across these sectors, the focus remains consistent: assembling the transaction, aligning interests across the capital stack, and navigating the requirements to close. The constant is structure, not sector. He holds the Series 7, 63, 99, and 24 securities licenses.
Mr. McPhedran began his career in wireless technology and medical devices, including MRI technology. A native of Vancouver, British Columbia, he spent nearly twenty years in Seattle before moving to the New York area, where he lives with his wife and two sons. He is an active investor in early-stage companies and an alumnus of the University of Washington.
